Unfortunately, I've continued to neglect posting my musings online due to the fact I've invested most of my writing time on the Chimera Chronicles stories or just writing for Black Ship Books or jotting down other random projects that come to mind. Chimera Chronicles is coming along nicely though. I have 13 stories completed and several concept art pieces done and counting for my sci-fi/fantasy anthology set on the world of Nue-Gaea. The prose anthology will be my launching point and reference book for everything in the Chimera universe, and I already have a few comic scripts done as well. I just need the right artists... Working in comics has been a struggle, as I've mentioned several times, but I just ignore the problems, learn from the failures, and remain optimistic that I will get my break eventually. I have had some small successes with smaller comic projects and I am on my third attempt to get Illicit Liberties off the ground. As they said in one of my favorite Disney movies, Meet the Robinsons, I just have to keep moving forward!
Speaking of small projects, I have connected with two amazing artists who I have started working on some short stories with. Juan Nicholas Cerone has assumed the role of penciller and inker for my old short Illicit Liberties: Muskrat Attacks and Neela B is providing her artistic talents to bring my own sci-fi version of the story of David and Goliath and my horrifying short retelling of The Wizard of Oz to the page. I may be doing some features soon with both of these talented individuals and hopefully everyone can see what we produce together in an anthology or at an online publisher very soon. In the meantime, I just encourage everyone to keep their eyes and ears open because I have more to come in the months ahead!
