"Value What You Sow" is a story about a king who receives a gift from a poor man. The king does not see use for the gift, but the young prince finds potential in the poor man's tribute. It is the prince's vision and this gift that ultimately saves the kingdom. The title itself gives away the moral of the story, but hopefully the story touches on something you could relate to.
"People Who Live in Candy Houses..." is a retelling of the tale of "Hansel and Gretel", but from the witch's perspective. I wrote this story after remembering a similar story I wrote for my English class in 7th grade. New POVs and role reversals are usually more interesting to me when stories are recreated, and this one has a completely different ending from what might be expected.
